“Forest Cover Change & Water: 40 Years in the Upper Bago River Basin and What It Means for Communities”

• Forests in Myanmar’s watersheds are rapidly changing, and have declined especially near roads, low-slope areas, and waterways.
• Upstream deforestation affects people in downstream areas by changing runoff, sediment load, and water quality.
• Integrated watershed management-oriented precision forestry
