Call for proposals for Hanoi IWT workshop, Nov 15-16

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the IUCN CEESP/SSC Sustainable Use and Livelihoods Specialist Group (IUCN SULi), the International Institute of Environment and Development (IIED) and TRAFFIC, are holding a regional workshop for Southeast Asia with a focus on the Lower Mekong Region to explore how best to engage Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities living close to wildlife or illegal wildlife trade routes in order to better combat the illegal wildlife trade (IWT).

We are seeking summaries and proposals for relevant analyses, case studies and experiences to be presented at the workshop.

Dates  – 15-16 November 2016

Location – Hanoi, Vietnam (exact venue TBC)

Cost – We are pleased to be able to offer funding to cover travel, food and accommodation costs for selected participants, limited to one selected participant per organization.
